We are looking for interns with focus in the following areas: content producer, client support specialist, social media specialist, and video content specialist, to support our HR and payroll services and client engagement.
Responsibilities
Content Producer Internship Responsibilities:
Utilize working knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Office) to develop HR and payroll resources.
Assist in creating and managing HR and payroll guides, templates, and compliance documents for Band of Hands’ platform.
Create concise summaries and highlights of HR and payroll best practices.
Assist in drafting content for HR and payroll webinars and workshops.
Assist in creating, editing, and publishing the official weekly HR and Payroll intern newsletter.
Assist in general office tasks.
Serve as an apprentice in an assigned function.
May work with other interns on projects.
Client Support Specialist Internship Responsibilities:
Write weekly HR tips and design graphics for Instagram.
Create prep sheets for HR and payroll campaigns for client-facing teams.
Assist in creating, editing, and publishing the official weekly HR and Payroll intern newsletter.
Assist in responding to client inquiries via email or phone with the client support team.
Aid in maintaining a daily log of client interactions.
Assist in daily client engagement needs, such as scheduling demos or follow-ups.
Assist in helping to create and manage HR and payroll content for Band of Hands’ platform.
Assist in general office tasks.
Serve as an apprentice in an assigned function.
May work with other interns on projects.
Social Media Specialist Internship Responsibilities:
Write, pitch, and research content for editorial posts on bandofhands.com and appropriate social media channels (e.g., X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) focused on HR and payroll solutions.
Write and schedule social posts for Band of Hands’ HR and payroll content across X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Help develop online strategy for Band of Hands’ HR and payroll digital presence.
Assist in creating, editing, and publishing the official weekly HR and Payroll intern newsletter.
Help plan and produce original content videos for Band of Hands’ social channels.
Create graphics needed for HR and payroll updates, including breaking news content (e.g., compliance changes).
Attend sales meetings with the Digital Director to understand target goals for client engagement.
Collaborate with the Promotions team to assist with client campaigns and create ideas for HR and payroll promotions.
Keep up with HR and payroll trends to inform social media content needs.
Assist in general office tasks.
Serve as an apprentice in an assigned function.
May work with other interns on projects.
Video Content Specialist Internship Responsibilities:
Edit segments from HR and payroll webinars or demos using Adobe Premiere for full-form content on YouTube and short-form content for social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
Live switch virtual events using tools like Zoom or vMix software.
Create video thumbnails and graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects for HR and payroll content.
Assist video producer with off-site shoots for client events or promotional materials.
Work with the sales team to create client videos for Band of Hands pre-roll ads and for client and platform social media channels.
Assist in creating, editing, and publishing the official weekly HR and Payroll intern newsletter.
Set up cameras and utilize mobile cameras for various in-studio or virtual shoots.
Keep up with HR and payroll trends to inform video content needs.
Ideate content ideas for social media focused on HR and payroll solutions.
Assist in general office tasks.
Serve as an apprentice in an assigned function.
May work with other interns on projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) is a plus.
Experience with virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, vMix) is a plus.
Knowledge of DSLR cameras and Sony cameras is a plus.
Working knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Office) is a plus.
Excellent editing skills.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; active listening; effectively conveying information; ability to proofread & edit.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite.
Planning & organizing: focusing on urgent and important tasks; avoiding procrastination; showing attention to detail; meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Can adapt to shifts in priorities and urgency.
Work experience in HR, payroll, or media fields is a plus.
Career interest in HR, payroll, or related industry.
Full-time undergraduates at a four-year college.
Minimum 3.2 GPA.
HR or related field of study a plus, e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing.
College/university transcript.
Letter from the student’s school stating that the student is currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year university.
Preferred Qualifications
Daily assistance with HR and payroll content creation.
Daily assistance with social media content for HR and payroll services.
Task coordination/production assistance for HR and payroll projects.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
$16.50 per hour.
